 Mold is a byproduct of the breakdown of organic matter, such as plants,  wood, and even food and certain beverages. The problem posed to humans  by mold is their spores, which can be released into the air and land on  damp surfaces indoors, where they will continue to grow, if the  conditions are right. Mold growth left unaddressed can quickly spread  and result in damage to the structure of a home. More importantly, mold  can compromise the respiratory health of susceptible individuals.  All homes have some mold spores, however homes with moisture intrusion issues are at particular risk for elevated levels of mold spores and should be inspected.

Our mold testing includes a thorough visual examination of the home and two air samples.  Surface samples and additional air samples are available for an $100 per sample.  All samples taken are tested by Pro-Lab, the nation's #1 environmental testing laboratory.  Results are typically available within 24-48 hours of the inspection appointment. 

Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers.  You cannot  see, smell, or taste radon. But it still may be a problem in your home.  Testing is the only way to find out your home's radon levels. If you  find that you have high radon levels, there are ways to fix a radon  problem.

We test the radon level in your home using state-of-the-art continuous radon monitors deployed for a 48-hour measurement period according to EPA guidelines.  Results of the test are available immediately upon completion of the testing period.

Our septic inspection checks to make sure that the system on the  property is functioning correctly as it was designed. 

Approval or failure of the system is normally the same day of  inspection. In some instances the system must be dye tested and approval  or failure might not occur until 24-48 hours after the initial test.

 Well water can be contaminated with bacteria and chemicals.  We test for the presence of coliform bacteria (E-Coli and Total Coliform).  Results of the test are typically available withing 24 hours.  Testing for lead, nitrates, and nitrates is available for an additional fee.
